	Finishing the wood bed was the last project. It is complete, having been dry fitted, drilled, sanded, rounded, vacuumed, stained, varnished (it uses five, with one week drying time between each), cured, carnuba-waxed and nearly completely installed. Sputnik launched, stamps cost 3 cents, and B-52 bombers began full-time flying alert in case of USSR attack. Why discuss the bombers? Well, see the two chrome fins mounted on the hood below? They were called "Bomber Sights" when they were introduced by Chevrolet. This was an uncommon option in those days, but this truck was blessed to have them installed at the factory.
